If a tenant received an eviction summons and has a court case number, a tenant may apply for court-based rental assistance through the Early Resolution Program. Visit https://www.illinoishousinghelp.org/cbrap.
If you have NOT received an eviction summons, you can call the Suburban Cook Call Center at 877-426-6515 to get connected with rental assistance and other homeless prevention services.

- Does my landlord need to participate and cooperate in the rental assistance application? No, the landlord is not required to fill out the forms or cooperate.
- Can rental assistance help dismiss an eviction case? It can help. If the rental assistance alone or rental assistance with the tenant's personal funds cover the total amount owed plus the landlord's court costs, then the tenant can use their one-time right to cure.
