- Cook County Legal Aid for Housing and Debt: Homeowners, who are concerned about their mortgages, but who have not received a court summons and are not currently in foreclosure, can call (855) 956-5763.

- Chicago Urban League Housing Department: Free services to low-and moderate-income residents of Chicago. - Homeowners who have received a court summons can call the housing counselor toll-free help line at (855) 452-2637.
- Homeowners who are currently in foreclosure and who do not need a housing counselor appointment, call the intake department at (312) 726-2938.
