Residential: Community Integrated Living Arrangement (CILA)

CILA is a living arrangement for adults (18 and older) in a group home, family home, or apartment where 8 or fewer unrelated adults with developmental disabilities live under supervision of the community development services agency.

  • Access Community Experience, Inc.: Support persons with developmental disabilities overcome barriers to living, working, learning, and accessing recreational opportunities in order to lead safe, healthy, independent, and productive lives in the community of their choice. Legal Assistance

  • Center for Disability and Elder Law (CDEL): They focus on matters related to financial and housing stability, estate planning including end-of-life planning, divorce, and adult guardianship. To learn more, click on this link.

Home Modification & Home Repair

  • Illinois Department of Human Services Home Service Program: Project-Based Rental Assistance Program that offers supportive housing for persons with disabilities. To learn more click here.
  • Small Accessible Repairs for Seniors: Program for senior citizens over the age of 60 that make 80% or less of the median income. Applicants may be homeowners or renters. For more information click here.

Paratransit Services

  • PACE: All PACE buses are entirely accessible to persons with disabilities. They offer paratransit services as well. To learn more click here.
