Supporting Others Experiencing Gender-Based Violence

You may feel worried because you have seen or heard someone you know experience gender-based violence.

If you are worried that someone you know is unsafe, support them in a non-judgmental way by offering to listen or connect them to resources. You can also educate yourself about common types of abuse and challenges survivors face. If you want more resources, call the Illinois Domestic Violence Hotline at 877-863-6338.
